La Val has found a place among American consumers favourite wines. American “Wine & Spirits” magazine, one of the most globally prestigious specialized publications just published its top 50 wine list in America’s top Restaurant: an annual ranking, which includes La Val albariño, produced in Salvaterra de Miño for the first time.

Each year more spanish wineries move higher on this list. 15 wines in the last edition, three of them belonging to Rias Baixas D.O.

A new recognition

La Val’s inclusion in “Wine & Spirits” exclusive list means a new recognition for the winery, which obtained a score above 90 in all of its wines in the main national reference guides. La Val Sur Lies 96 score, both in Proensa’s and Peñín’s guide, is highlighted as “exceptional” quality.

Rias Baixas D.O. pioneer

Bodegas La Val was born in 1985, becoming one of the Rias Baixas D.O. pioneers as well as one of the most important wineries in terms of self-produced wines, since its own vineyards produce virtually all of its products. La Val’s vineyards occupy an area of 53 hectares distributed among three vineyards, Arantei and Porto (Salvaterra de Miño), Taboexa (As Neves). La Val wines comply with the highest quality and safety requirements. The fusion of traditional wine making process with state-of-the-art technologies allows La Val to offer the best wine possible. It has the British Retail Consortium (BRC) certificate in Food Safety, one of the most important certificates within the wine industry.
