Compa\u00f1\u00eda Vin\u00edcola del Norte de Espa\u00f1a, CVNE, has formalized the acquisition of Bodegas LA VAL located in Salvaterra de Mi\u00f1o, in the County of Tea of the R\u00edas Baixas Denomination of Origin, to the company. The historic Rioja group thus adds its eighth winery to the group and incorporates Albari\u00f1o wines into the family. This is the first winery in the R\u00edas Baixas appellation to join CVNE, which is already present in the D.O.Ca Rioja, D.O. Ribera del Duero, D.O. Valdeorras and D.O. Cava.<\/p>\n
According to V\u00edctor Urrutia, CVNE\u2019s CEO: \u201cCVNE is a national treasure and our objective is to be Spain\u2019s most important winery. Buying La Val will help us consolidate this objective\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n
LA VAL<\/strong><\/p>\n Bodegas LA VAL was founded in 1985 and is a historic winery in the Rias Baixas region. It was one of the pioneers in the elaboration of Albari\u00f1o and the driving force behind the creation of the R\u00edas Baixas appellation in 1988.<\/p>\n With this acquisition, CVNE incorporates a winery and a recognized brand into the group. La Val only produces wines from its own vineyards.
