Its granite soil, hard due to the presence of schists, slates, paragneisses and quartzite, from a quartzite, from a peculiar vein that runs through the south of the province of Pontevedra.
Facing south, it is the closest estate to the Atlantic Ocean.
The climate is temperate Atlantic Oceanic, with mild winters and warm summers.

Arantei
Arantei is one of the oldest vineyards in the D.O. It maintains the traditional vine training system. It has a spectacular alluvial soil, where the Miño and Caselas rivers have been depositing layers and layers of minerals and pebbles for millions of years. Its soil is deep and with clay levels higher than normal in the appellation, which gives it great resilience to situations of stress.
Its orientation and mesoclimate, with mild winters and warm summers, allow for early ripening with fruity and balanced musts.
Average annual temperature: 14.5º C. Average annual rainfall: 1,297 mm.
Deep wines, with structure and volume.
Porto
Porto is a plot bordering the Arantei estate that shares the same altitude, the same training system (traditional high vine), the same planting frame (4x4m) as well as the same soil characteristics and climatic conditions (temperate Atlantic Ocean, with mild winters, warm summers and rainfall every month of the year).
The only aspects that differentiate them are the grape varieties and the year of planting (2010). In this plot we found the following varieties: Albariño (2 ha), Treixadura (1 ha) and Loureira (1 ha).
From Porto come wines with a clear local and autochthonous character, characteristic of the subzone of O Condado.
Taboexa
It is one of the highest vineyards in the appellation, with a soil typical of the Rías Baixas: acid, decomposed granite and sandy texture, very rich in organic matter, with a northwest maritime orientation. Although the climate is still clearly temperate Atlantic Oceanic, winter temperatures are low and summers are hotter. The average temperature is 13.9º C and rainfall is 1,345 mm.
For all these reasons, the grapes from this vineyard have high acidity, with a lot of malic acid that provides the freshness and salinity so typically Atlantic. The wines also have rich aromas of fresh herbs and balsamic notes.
